Pressure cooker Hard Cooked Eggs
Ingredients
1 cup water
eggs
Instructions
The following instructions are written for the Instant Pot 6 Qt pressure cooker.
For other brands and models of pressure cookers, read the manufacturer's instruction
manual for your model to learn how to set your brand and model of Pressure Cooker.
I suggest using a third party egg rack designed for pressure cookers. Like this one.
Pour 1 cup of water into the pot, put the egg rack(s) in the pot, and place the eggs
pointy end down onto the rack(s).
The eggs should be cooked by the 6-6-15 method.
Pressurized cook for six minutes.
Turn off the pot and slow release for six minutes.
Fifteen minutes in a ice bath.
I am at 5800 ft. elevation, so I have to increase the cook time to 8 minutes, or 8-6-15.
You may have to experiment to find the perfect cook time for your situation.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot, and make sure the release valve is in the "Sealed" postition.
Press the "Manual" button and set the timer to 6 minutes and set to high pressure.
When the pressurization is done, let the pressure cooker do a natural release for 6 minutes.
Then do a quick release.
After all the pressure has been released, immediately take the the eggs out of the pot and place
in an ice water bath for 15 minutes to stop the cooking process.
Now enjoy the easiest peeling eggs I have ever used.
